10 Must-Have Craft Supplies for Toddlers

A really great way to keep your toddler entertained and have some fun is to do crafts. The internet is full of fun craft project ideas for kids of all ages. The issue I run into though, is that I never have all the supplies I need. I have put together a list of 10 must-have craft supplies for toddlers in hopes that it helps you keep the basics on hand.

Must-Have Craft Supplies for Toddlers

#1 – Construction Paper

#2 – Washable Paints

#3 – Paint Brushes

#4 – Glue Sticks

#5 – Crayons/Markers

#6 – Safety Scissors

#7 – Popsicle Sticks

#8 – Googly Eyes

#9 – Clothes Pins

#10 – Sponges

In addition to must-have craft supplies for toddlers, you will need mess-control supplies. Its important to remember that things can get messy! It helps to be prepared ahead of time, and have all your supplies handy before getting started. Here is a list of mess-control supplies you’ll want to keep close by.

  1. Yes! I love this list! I would also add clay. I was a full time nanny for a long time, and the children loved sculpting with clay! I can not wait until my daughter is old enough to start creating! <3

  2. Popsicle sticks and clothespins! Why didn’t I think of that? I also keep felt and little foam shapes around. My kid loves to just stick that stuff onto contact paper taped to the table sticky side up. Easiest “craft” ever.

  3. Awesome list. I love magic erasers!!!! They are a miracle. Since my girls haven’t been on their tablets, they have been leaning more towards crafts so this list was a big help!!

  5. Great list! I especially love that you included clothes pins :). I bought a huge pack of them not too long ago, and we have used them for so many different craft projects!
